“Hina-matsuri”, also known as Doll’s Day or Girls’ Day, is a wildly popular annual event to wish the healthy growth of girls. 2018’s Hina-matsuri takes place from February 1st to March 29th. Keio Plaza Hotel will be adorned throughout with over 6,800 silk dolls, with the main lobby display particularly impressive. Each doll signifies wishes for good fortune and visitors are free to take photos on the final day of the event.
In a special exhibition exclusive to Keio Plaza Hotel, items from the art of “Kodo” (Way of Fragrance, which dates back to the 6th century) will be on display. You can also see Wajima-nuri lacquerware incense burners, ceremony utensils, and fragrant wood.
